The KVS MORAVIA 9100-HEU type solid-fuel cooker with a heat exchange unit (exchanger) combines the advantages of an appliance designed for cooking, baking/roasting meals and a central heating boiler.
A spacious firebox can be easily adjusted for summer or winter operation (removable top grate). One of many other advantages is the variability of connections to a chimney.
Already in its standard version, the cooker has 3 outlets for combustion gases for connection to a chimney from the back, from a side or from above (Note: when a glass-ceramic hob is used, connection is only possible from a side or back wall). All these outlets are situated next to one another – see the photo.
The cooker is made in right-hand or left-hand versions, which differ mainly by the position of the outlets into a chimney (when viewed from the front). Right-hand version – all the 3 outlets for combustion gases are in the right corner and the oven is also situated in the right section of the cooker. Left-hand version – all the 3 outlets for combustion gases are in the left corner, and the oven is also situated in the left section of the cooker.

The KVS MORAVIA 9100-HEU type range cooker is designed to be used mainly with a recommended fuel such as wood and brown coal, and wood and brown-coal briquettes can be used with this appliance as well.
This cooker with a heat exchange unit (exchanger) combines the advantages of an appliance designed for cooking, baking/roasting meals and a central heating boiler. The materials used in the manufacture of this type are similar as compared with the other types of KVS MORAVIA appliances.
It is designed in such a way to utilise its potential also for heating other rooms while maintaining the cooking and baking/roasting function. An appliance with a heat exchange unit has greater service demands than appliances with no heater, and therefore it requires a higher frequency of fuel stoking and removal of ash from the grates during operation. It is not possible to set continuous burning operation. The appliance is suitable for heating rather small housing units and cottages.
The cooker firebox consists, as usual, of fire bricks and is divided into two parts by means of cast-iron grates. Such arrangement offers two options for operation:
The heat exchange unit is positioned in the lower part of the firebox, in a space between two grates. The outlets for connection to the heating system of central heating are on the back side of the appliance. Owing to restricted space in the construction of the cooker, the heat exchange unit is of rather small dimensions, hence with a smaller water capacity. Therefore, we recommend connecting the cooker into a circuit with forced water circulation (with a pump).
The cooker oven is of greater dimensions and it includes a grid and baking tray as well. It has excellent baking capabilities, which is down to the actual construction of the cooker because flames flow around the entire perimeter of the oven. From this point of view, this type will be more suitable if you prefer roasting/baking and cooking to heating.
Cooling panels can be used to build the cooker into a fitted kitchen. If upper cabinets above the cooker are also part of the fitted kitchen, it is necessary to insulate them from heat and steam, e.g. by means of an extractor hood or in another way. Otherwise the fitted kitchen may get damaged.
